Allume Energy is revolutionising solar access for flats. We've developed a world-first technology that allows a single solar system to be shared by multiple apartments in the same building. We're a rapidly growing global company expanding our UK team, and we're looking for a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to help us make a real impact.
The Role
You'll be a crucial part of our UK growth, driving the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals and managing accounts. With the work you do directly contributing to a positive change in the world by bringing clean energy to more people.
Our primary focus will be on the end-user market, specifically:
- Social housing providers
- Property developers
- M&E consultants
- Main contractors
Your role will cover some aspects of the above, so experience in one or some of the industries is preferred.
What You'll Do
- Drive direct sales, from lead discovery and qualification to closing deals.
- Become a trusted advisor in the social housing and new-build markets.
- Manage existing customer accounts to maximize repeat business.
- Handle inbound leads, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
- Maintain accurate records and provide sales forecasts.
- Gather market insights to help shape our commercial direction.
- Collaborate with the wider team on sales strategies and product positioning.
- Attend key industry events and networking opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3+ years of direct sales or business development experience.
- A proven track record of hitting targets and growing market share.
- Ability to both hunt for new business and nurture existing relationships.
- Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to explain complex products simply.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, early-stage business.
- A genuine desire to learn and build a career in the renewable energy industry.
Bonus Points
- Experience in the social housing or new-build sectors.
- Experience in B2B or hardware sales.
- Background in the solar or renewable energy industries.
