Energy Dome is an innovative company operating in the utility-scale energy storage sector. We design and deliver large-scale infrastructure projects supporting the global energy transition. As we scale internationally, we are strengthening our execution capabilities and are looking for a Commissioning Manager to lead the commissioning and startup of our plants across multiple geographies. Role Overview The Commissioning Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing commissioning activities for Energy Dome’s industrial-scale energy plants. This is a highly operational role requiring strong on-site presence, technical depth, and structured execution capability. The position is based in Milan, with very frequent international travel during project execution phases. You will ensure that plants are safely commissioned, tested, validated, and handed over according to contractual performance guarantees. Key Responsibilities • Commissioning Strategy & Planning: develop plans/procedures/schedules; define philosophy; embed requirements into design/procurement. • Site Execution & Coordination: lead on-site commissioning; coordinate subcontractors/vendors/multidisciplinary teams; supervise pre-commissioning through system integration; ensure HSE compliance. • Technical Oversight: review technical documentation, P&IDs, control logic; troubleshoot issues; oversee performance testing. • Interface Management: interface among engineering, construction, operations; support Project Directors; manage client interfaces. • Documentation & Handover: record activities; validate reports and as-built; support final handover. Requirements • 8–12+ years in commissioning industrial plants/power generation/complex infrastructure; • Strong EPC background; • Startup/troubleshooting experience; • Coordination of subcontractors/site teams; • Knowledge of mechanical/electrical/control systems integration; • Frequent international travel; • Engineering degree.
