POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Own and operate the enterprise-wide demand intake, structuring, and prioritization mechanism across business units and functions. Ensure that platform, product, and project investments are aligned with business strategy, converted into clear project/program topics, and sequenced for maximum business impact. This position reports to the Head of Portfolio Management Team and or other senior management personnel that the President of the Company may designate. This position will be based out of San Francisco, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the single point of ownership for collecting and managing business demands across entities and functions
- Establish and enforce standard definitions for:
- Project vs Program vs Product vs Operational request
- Business-tied vs stand-alone / IP-based initiatives - Ensure all demands are categorized consistently (e.g., Biz modules, Infra, Functional products, Consolidation initiatives)
- Lead monthly Steering Committee meetings to evaluate, prioritize, and approve initiatives
- Drive objective prioritization using
- Strategic alignment
- ROI / value assessment
- Resource and capacity constraints - Convert business roadmap topics into clearly defined Projects / Programs
- Coordinate internal evaluations across:
- Business Architecture (BA)
- Technical Architecture (TA)
- Vendors and external partners - Ensure feasibility reviews, dependency checks, and resource reviews are completed before execution handoff
- Translate approved demands into:
- Tech roadmap inputs
- Aligned timelines
- Clear ownership boundaries - Maintain strong alignment between business roadmap and technology roadmap
- Define and operate demand control processes using:
- Project management tools
- Valuation and scoring models - Ensure transparency and traceability from demand intake → prioritization → execution handoff
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Information Systems, Social Science, Engineering or related fields.
- 15+ years of experience in enterprise IT, digital transformation, product strategy, or portfolio management
- Proven experience operating enterprise-level demand intake and prioritization frameworks
- Strong understanding of:
- Business architecture and enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, data platforms)
- Platform vs product vs project models - Experience leading cross-functional steering committees
- Excellent stakeholder management and decision facilitation skills
- Strong analytical capability (ROI, value modeling, prioritization frameworks)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in matrixed, multi-entity global organizations
- Background in consulting, enterprise PMO, or strategy roles
- Familiarity with Jira, portfolio management tools, and valuation models
- Experience working with external vendors and system integrators
- Exposure to SaaS, platform, or IP-based product models

The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications.
