Genomines is seeking a Laboratory Manager – Operations & Compliance to ensure the smooth, safe, and compliant day-to-day functioning of its laboratory facilities. This operational role supports R&D and production teams by maintaining laboratory infrastructure, safety standards, regulatory compliance, and logistics in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and applicable EU/French regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure uninterrupted daily laboratory operations and facility upkeep.
Coordinate installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, and servicing of laboratory equipment; maintain maintenance and calibration records.
Implement and monitor laboratory safety procedures in compliance with EU and French HSE, biosafety, chemical handling, microorganism/GMO handling, and waste management regulations.
Ensure compliant segregation, decontamination, clearance, and disposal of laboratory waste (chemical, biological, GMO/microbial, and general waste) in accordance with EU and French regulations.
Ensure adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and internal SOPs.
Manage laboratory inventory, procurement, storage, labeling, and expiry tracking.
Coordinate with department heads to ensure consistent laboratory standards and good laboratory practices.
Liaise with vendors, facilities, and internal stakeholders as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a related field.
Experience in laboratory operations, safety, or compliance within an EU/French regulatory environment.
Working knowledge of GLP and laboratory HSE requirements.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Fluency in French and English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
