Role Description
As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee all U.S. accounting activities while collaborating with our international teams in South America and Europe. The Accounting Manager will manage day-to-day accounting tasks including preparing financial statements, managing journal entries, overseeing fixed assets, and conducting financial analysis. This role also involves ensuring compliance with financial regulations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the finance team in various accounting functions. This role provides exposure to both CPG and Foodservice business segments and offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, results-driven environment. This is a full-time, hybrid role for an Accounting Manager located in Philadelphia, PA.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the processing of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
- Manage Reporting for Key Accounts: Manage the chargebacks, discounts, and sales programs, in collaboration with the sales team for key accounts including UNFI, KeHe, and Foodservice distribution accounts.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to manage inventory accounting, including costing and valuation.
- ERP System Management: Utilize and maintain the company’s ERP system for financial transactions and reporting.
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts.
Accounting, Risk Management, and Compliance
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assess and manage financial risks, identifying potential issues and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Develop robust accounting processes for internal accountability and financial reporting requirements
- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and reviews.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Review all ledger account reconciliations to include: bank statements, assets, liabilities, and credit cards; completed on a monthly basis
Cash Management
- Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience with ERP system Oracle NetSuite.
- Proven track record and accounting experience within the consumer goods space.
- Experience in CPG required.
- Experience in the Foodservice space is a plus.
- CPA strongly preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish & English is a plus.
