SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role provides comprehensive accounting and financial support, ensuring accurate accounting records, account analysis, export cost control, and support for the drawback program.

This is not a purely transactional role. The position requires sound accounting judgment, the ability to work independently, and a continuous improvement mindset. The role reports directly to the Senior Accountant and Director of Finance and works closely with Operations and Logistics teams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Record accounting transactions accurately and on a timely basis, including purchases, sales, services, imports, and exports.
  • Prepare accounting provisions, accruals, reclassifications, and adjustments as part of the monthly close.
  • Review, validate, and process supplier invoices and expense reimbursements in compliance with tax regulations.
  • Perform account reconciliations (accounts receivable, accounts payable, advances, inventory, and bank accounts).
  • Analyze accounts, identify discrepancies, unusual balances, and potential accounting or tax risks.
  • Control and analyze export-related operational and logistics costs, ensuring consistency between accounting records, inventory (kardex), and export documentation.
  • Support drawback processes, including identification of eligible costs, reconciliations, and documentary support.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes and preparation of financial reports.
  • Identify errors, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in accounting and control processes, proposing and implementing enhancements when applicable.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Logistics teams.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role (experience in export-oriented or international companies is a plus).
  • Strong willingness to learn, develop new skills, and acquire new knowledge.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles, taxes, and account reconciliations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound accounting judgment.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Basic to intermediate level of English, both written and verbal (preferred, not required)
  • Experience with accounting ERP systems; Oracle NetSuite experience is preferred but not required.
  • Proactive, organized, and improvement-oriented mindset.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.
