The Role

We’re hiring an Junior Sourcing Analyst to own and optimize the entire value chain of our global ingredient and packaging supply network. This is a foundational leadership role tasked with building our sourcing function from the ground up — creating visibility, accountability, and long-term resilience across every one of our supply chains.

This person will be both strategic and hands-on, responsible for understanding how our supply chains work in practice, identifying risks and inefficiencies, and proactively building sourcing strategies that improve margin, ensure consistency, and align with SIMPLi’s regenerative values. This position requires 3 in-person workdays, so any candidate must be located within the Philadelphia Metro area.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

  • Build and manage global supplier relationships across ingredients and packaging, with a focus on regenerative, organic, and vertically integrated models.
  • Support negotiations to improve pricing, terms, and cost structures, while maintaining high product and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Track market trends, organize supplier quotes, conduct comparative analysis

Supply Chain Optimization

  • Support the full value chain for every product — from raw material to packaging to port — and identify margin-improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations teams to ensure accurate landed cost calculations, margin visibility, and COGS reporting.
  • Support development and implementation of sourcing strategies for both high-growth SKUs and new product innovation.

Team Building & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with QA, Regenerative Operations, Operations, and Finance to maintain quality, compliance, and cost accuracy across the business.
  • Assist as a strategic partner to Marketing, Sales, and Product Development to align sourcing decisions with go-to-market priorities.

Travel & Supplier Engagement

  • Potential travel to supplier locations in Latin America, Europe, and other key sourcing regions to build trust, understand operations on the ground, and problem-solve in real time.
  • Ensure supplier partnerships are aligned with SIMPLi’s standards around regenerative agriculture, ethical labor, and long-term resilience.

Qualifications

  • 1-3+ years' experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management (CPG or food strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and a strong track record of maintaining accurate data in spreadsheets, ERP systems, or procurement tools
  • Experience validating supplier quotes, pricing sheets, and cost inputs for accuracy and consistency
  • Comfort working with large datasets and performing data cleanup and validation
  • Proven experience negotiating supply contracts and driving cost savings without compromising on quality or values.
  • Experience with international supplier management, preferably in high-integrity food or agriculture categories.
  • Strong Excel, and Microsoft Suite proficiency
  • Strong understanding of landed cost, incoterms, supplier compliance, and operational logistics.
  • Highly analytical and comfortable with cost models, margin visibility, and cross-functional planning.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish fluency or proficiency highly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel internationally 5–15% of the time.
