The Role
Xos is seeking a dynamic Senior Accountant eager to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. This role entails overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and conducting monthly financial reconciliations for key accounts. The ideal candidate possesses a strong grasp of GAAP principles, coupled with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. This position requires autonomy and collaboration to maintain high standards in financial processes and ensure accurate reporting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and record appropriate journal entries
- Assist in various aspects of monthly close, financial statements, and reporting packages
- Evaluate and recommend enhancements to accounting systems and procedures
- Ensure adherence to GAAP principles and assist in internal management financial reporting
- Support with internal and external audit processes promptly and comprehensively
- Aid in the implementation of new features within NetSuite and other financial systems
- Contribute to the development and update of accounting policies to align with accounting standards adopted by the Company
- Provide technical accounting expertise, ensuring compliance with SEC, FASB, and other regulatory developments
- Undertake special projects as required
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Accounting/Finance or related field; CPA certification preferred
- 3+ years experience; background in public accounting advantageous
- Proficient understanding of GAAP principles
- Familiarity with accounting in a consumer goods and manufacturing environments
- Prior experience with NetSuite ERP system is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting
- Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Excel
- Proactive approach; delivers high-quality work while managing competing priorities and deadlines, and maintains confidentiality
The salary range for this role is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Xos Inc. reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skillset, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, geographic location, and other business or organizational factors. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
- California (Los Angeles Metropolitan): $90,000 - $110,000 annual base salary
